Hello Y4N community!

We are halfway through 2021 and we want to take a moment to thank YOU! Not only are you part of the community who made us who we are today, but you have also chosen to share with us during this time. We are very grateful for the support, encouragement and trust you have given to this team and we do hold your presence very highly - we are honored!

In this newsletter we share our continued work, exciting opportunities for you to be plugged into, and also wins to be thankful for during this time. What are you grateful for this month?

We need your help! Together with our friends at GYBN and YOUNGO, we launched a by-youth, for-youth survey to gather perspectives on Nature-based Solutions (NbS). If you’re 30 years old or younger, please take 10 minutes to add your voice by filling out the survey today! Your perspectives will directly shape a unified youth position statement on NbS that will be brought to many of the high-level climate and biodiversity meetings later this year. The survey is currently available in English, français and Español.

We are, once again, leaving you with 3 fun recommendations from our team! Enjoy!

  1. 🦖 From a super secret Y4N team member: T-Rex and Pikachu are the Climate Champions We Deserve. A funny, but also critical and creative take on navigating climate activism.
  2. Did you know that July 7 was Chocolate Day? To celebrate, we have another recipe from Regional Director for Europe & Central Asia, Raysa! This month it’s mole sauce, a traditional Mexican sauce made out of chocolate that you can eat with vegetables or on top of rice and beans!
  3.  “Just as ecosystems need biodiversity to thrive, society needs cultural diversity to grow new possibilities. Monoculture deadens our collective potential. - A favourite quote of Rachel’s, our Communications Director, from Favianna Rodriquez in All We Can Save.

Wishing you a month of connection, creativity and hope.
