Eco-friendly beehive fences sustainable solutions to Farmers & Wildlife Conflict in the coastal region of Kenya (Voi sub-county). In the last financial year, the Kenyan government approved payment claims of Kenyan shillings 129.2 million for several families of victims of wildlife attacks. Finding non-violent ways to deter the wildlife from Tsavo National Park in partnership with scientists from Save the Elephants & Disney’s Animal Kingdom is an ongoing successful project helping in a social-economic win-win solution. Due to the climate change elephants have been straying into farms & clearing the harvest & at times even killing & injuring the villagers. A new dawn of flourishing profitable ventures through education to the farmers from agriculture extension officers on switching to growing climate-resilient crops & complementing this with beekeeping projects has brought about food security & created more jobs in the community.
