Chipasha Keran is a Zambian citizen aged 28 years old. He is a dedicated, focused, and determined youth leader. He is an environmental and human rights activist founder of a youth-led non-profit organization called Musa Community Development and Sustainability Organization (MCDS) based in Zambia's northern Province founded in 2020. The organization works in the following areas—environment and climate change; Waste management; Disaster reduction; Youth empowerment; and Livelihood improvement initiatives.
Keran is a trainee in Activism -Building Resistance in South Africa at the environmental justice school at groundwork in 2023, He has been leading and organizing youths to demand government officials account for their actions. Chipasha Keran is a good Community mobilizer, good at community engagement, has good speaking skills, and is passionate about combating Climate effects. Chipasha has initiated the following projects successfully Kasama plastic pollution-free campaign, the Youth4Green project, and promoting green entrepreneurship among youths and women.
He is also a trained activist in combating corruption and he has been a provincial coordinator for the African Youths against Corruption project for 2 years. This project focuses on holding office bearers accountable and promoting transparency.
Further, the organization partners with other civil society organizations including Action for Nature, Zambia Climate Change Network, Global Network for Disaster Reduction, and Motley Institute of Business and Technology. He has been an African climate change goodwill ambassador for 2023, driving climate adaptation strategies in the local community and is determined to drive and enhance the fight against climate change.
