Micah Lopese, a registered Associate Environmentalist Expert with Kenya's National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) and a member of the Environment Institute of Kenya (EIK), brings a wealth of expertise to the conservation field. Holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science from Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology, Micah is also proficient in Geographical Information Systems (GIS).
With a specialization in Environmental Impact Assessment and audit, he excels in evaluating the environmental and social effects stemming from physical and biological factors. His commitment to climate change mitigation and adaptation is evident through his work in sensitizing communities on best waste management practices and spearheading mangrove restoration along Mida Creek.
As INUKA’s third intern, he supports youth-led NbS projects to effectively implement, and scale-up these solutions. Known for his resilience, he upholds a high level of integrity, accountability, and honesty in all his endeavours.
Micah enjoys nature walks, playing football, and listening to country music.
