Fun Fact: I am born in a fishermen family. My mum’s side has relied on fishing for generations. I used to play on the fish raft (My grandparents’ home) a lot when I was a kid.
Rainbow is a conservationist obsessed with the ocean, sustainability, and climate. She is the founder of Sustainable Ocean Alliance Hong Kong- marine conservation organization. She has been tied to the sea since her childhood as she has the fishermen’s ancestry flowing in her blood. After she completed MSc Conservation Biology in Australia, she came back to where she rooted and worked for serval Local and international Environmental NGOs including WWF-HK, TNC-HK, HKDCS, Youth4Nature, GYBN, and CoalitionWild. She has rich inter-discipline experience in science, social science, and policy also fieldwork across Asia-Pacific. Rainbow is also involved in ranges of climate action. She is leading the Asia Climate Rally in Hong Kong. She also partners with 350.org, the climate reality, Loss & Destruction Youth Coalition, and Island Innovation. She believes a conservationist should put people and wildlife together and rebuild those lost connections.
